Let's Talk About... Canon 5d mkII

welcome to another installment of 'let's talk about...'. i bought myself an early christmas gift and got the canon 5d mkii. as much as i loved (and still do) my mkI, i decided to get the mkII. and i seriously couldn't be more satisfied! so satisfied and happy that i wanted to blog these images i took in my room.

all images (shot in jpg and straight out of camera) taken with the 5d mkii, 24-70 2.8L and at iso 3200. yes. 3200!! and for those that might be interested, i put my settings for each image.

now what to get myself when christmas really comes around?? hmmmm. ;)

Agnes + Simon |Engaged| Union Station

When I first met Agnes, we dove right into where we would take their engagement (or should I say post marriagement???) photos. Agnes & Simon are actually married but will be having their ceremony this November. And for their session, they chose Union Station and The Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Agnes & Simon! Can't wait for your wedding! It's going to be so much fun! ;)

And thanks to the lovely Clara of Clara Kim Beauty for doing Agnes' hair & makeup! You rock!

After a quick outfit change, we headed to the concert hall to finish up the session.

We shot the session on July 5 so the concert hall was closed and the streets were empty. We were seriously the only ones there. We only had the outside of the building to work with but we totally didn't mind. Cuz getting this shot with NO cars or people around was worth it.

Remember Christine & Gerry? A few weeks ago, it was Christine's dad's 60th birthday! We started the evening with a quick family session and went on to celebrate Mr. Park turning 60! :)

Christine did such an excellent job planning her dad's birthday party. She practically DIY'ed everything and it all came out so cute! Christine is actually a wedding coordinator and just launched her site so make sure to stop by her blog if you're looking for a coordinator!

Christine looks EXACTLY like her mom when her mom was younger! I was seriously tripping out.

The Yin Family |Descanso Gardens|

Last week, I had the pleasure of documenting The Yin Family at Descanso Gardens in La Canada. Descanso Gardens is such a beautiful place. Perfect for picnics and just lounging around in the grass. I actually shot my first wedding there so it felt nice to be back.

Debbie + Alex |Engaged|

When I met Debbie + Alex at the South Coast Botanic Garden, one of the first things I said was, "So... Alex... Who are you going to root for? Korea or Argentina?" Alex is from Argentina and Debbie is Korean, so obviously he said Korea. Makes total sense right?! LoL. Just kidding, Alex. :) I'm talking about the World Cup by the way. And yes... Argentina beat Korea. Boo.

I heart Debbie + Alex. You can totally feel the love between these two. They're the sweetest couple ever and am so stoked to be shooting their wedding in July. We started our day at the garden and ended our session with a very very quick stop at the beach.

A day in the life of golfers

My friend Alex loves to golf. And occasionally, I'll go with him to the range. No, I am not a golfer. I like going to the range once in a while when I feel stressed out. But I get more stressed because golf is soooo hard and I have neither the patience or strength for it. I can't seem to get the ball past the 1st flag. I don't know how many meters/yards that is, but my balls always seem to congregate next to it. And I love watching people at the range too. When I see their balls soar across the sky, it gives me this calm feeling. I know. I'm weird, right? And while we were at the range, I met Storm. Alex already knew Storm from golfing but it was my first time meeting him. Storm left his family in Korea to become a pro golfer, practices EVERY DAY, ALL NIGHT, likes to win and is 13! He's so mature for his age and has such a witty sense of humor I keep forgetting he's 13. Anyhoo, I fell in love with Storm the minute I met him and I seriously seriously can't wait to see him touring with the PGA. Yeah. He's that good.

After we finished off our buckets, we decided to go on the course. So excuse Alex's attire. Apparently you're not allowed on the green with jeans. Golf etiquette. Here are a few images from that gorgeous day. The light was just divine and I kept thinking how awesome it would be to do an e-session on the course. If any couples out there are looking to do an engagement session on the field, email me! I think it would be so cute!

Esther & David :: San Jose |Wedding|

A few weeks ago, I had the honor of documenting Esther and David's wedding in San Jose. Where do I even begin with these two? I've only met Esther & David a handful of times, but it really feels like we've been friends forever. Their whole family is just the sweetest and I feel so blessed to have met you guys.

We started the day at The Fairmont in San Jose. Esther made sure we had plenty of natural light and reserved the Presidential Suite! Now that's what I call an awesome bride!

Esther had her han-bohk custom made in Korea. Isn't it gorgeous?

Tenh & Derek :: San Francisco |engaged|

I've been itching to blog this engagement session I shot a couple weeks ago while I was up in San Francisco for a wedding. Post coming soon, but in the mean time, I wanted to introduce you to Tenh & Derek! These two are so stylish and so full of chemistry that they made shooting them way too easy. Tenh & Derek didn't want the usual touristy spots for our locations so we decided to roam the streets in the Mission District and see what we could find. My favorite kind of sessions. :) And the weather couldn't have been more perfect. I was so worried because it rained a lot the day before but we had nothing but clear skies and gorgeous light.

Thanks guys for being loads of fun! Serioulsy can't wait to shoot your wedding up north in September!

I love this image. It has such a peaceful feel to it.

L.O.L. No matter how many times I look at this image, it makes me happy and really laugh out loud. Derek is such a goofball. I thought it was hilarious when he started holding hands with the bears. Or are they dogs?

My sister had taken me to Humphry Slocombe for some ice cream and I thought it was such a cute little joint for an e-session. So glad Tenh & Derek were up for it. :) Plus, it's some yummy ice cream.

Hai & Van :: USC Grads

Hai & Van are the sweetest and most adorable couple ever. When they emailed me about shooting around USC for their grad pics, I was all on board. They walked last Friday so the day before, we met up on campus and did our thing. I'm also shooting their tea ceremony this Sunday so stay tuned for that post! :)

Paris in Film

When I sent in my film to get developed for the Condor's Nest Ranch shoot, I also sent in the ONLY roll of film I shot in Paris. I brought a handful of rolls to shoot with but once I got to Paris, it was just too much for me to do both digital and film. Before the trip, I told myself I was only going to shoot film but then with all the rain and all the walking and all the carrying, my Canon A-1 stayed at the hotel. It was just easier for me to shoot digital. But now, I'm kicking myself for not shooting more film! I find it very hard for me to do both at the same time. LoL. Either it's all digital or all film. It's difficult for me to switch back and forth. I think a lot has to do with the fact that when I shoot film, I tend to slow down so it's like changing personalities really quick... which doesn't flow well with me. Or maybe I'm just a dork.

Oh wells. Just means I'll have to go back to Paris soon. :)

I only took a few shots at the Eiffel Tower and the rest of the pics are of us going through the roll as fast as we could at the airport before our flight back home.

The Condor's Nest Ranch :: FILM

It's finally here! :) My film images from our shoot at The Condor's Nest Ranch. A bunch of us got together a few weeks ago and had some fun shooting film with some gorgeous models. And can I just say I LURVE film and the COLORS! MmMMMmmM. So yummy. If I were the type of chick to say swoon, I so would. :p The ONLY not so good thing about film is waiting for the images. We're (or least I am) all used to instant gratification and having to wait a few weeks for the film to develop drives me bananas. Hehe. But then once you get the images back, you ooh and ahh over them and say 'Oh yeaaaah! I remember that shot!' or "YES! It's in focus!'

All images are straight out of camera, shot with Canon A-1 with Fuji Pro 400h and developed at Richard Photo Lab. Also, there are a few shots from Kodak's 400vc because I had to finish up a roll before shooting with Fuji's film.

The Wedding Pantry |Grand Opening|

On Saturday it was The Wedding Pantry's grand opening and I had the honor of documenting it's first hours of business. My good friend and colleague, Eva Chiou, is the mastermind behind The Wedding Pantry and I am so excited to see what the future holds for her and her store. And on top of her new store, Eva is part of Utterly Engaged, the first ever online wedding magazine and ran a very successful event planning business. Can you say superwoman?

For all the brides out there, you must stop by and check out all the accessories and inspiration The Wedding Pantry has to offer. And the coolest and most unique part of The Wedding Pantry is that it offers space for wedding vendors to come in and hold their client meetings! How awesome is that?! A place for vendors AND brides. Genius! ;)

The day couldn't have gone smoother and was filled with lots and lots of support and love from the wedding industry and most important of all customers! :)

Mary of Jay's Catering blessed the opening with some seriously awesome food and treats that I STILL can't get out of my head.

WOW. Where does the time go? Can't believe it's almost May! LoL. I'm half watching/listening to The Office as I'm writing this post and I got sidetracked. That show is hilarious. I seriously have a major crush on Rainn Wilson. I LOVED the first & second season and was so sad season 1 only had 6 episodes. And now since I'm all caught up on The Office, any other shows I should watch?

Last week, I got to be part of an amazing shoot at The Condor's Nest Ranch in the city of Pala. A gorgeous ranch, beautiful models and getting together with my photographer friends. It couldn't have been more fun. Besides the rain. Boo. But everyone, especially the models rocked it so it was all good. :) AND! Sofia Vergara. Need I say more? That woman is freaking beautiful. I recently started watching Modern Family a couple weeks ago and seriously can't get enough of her. AND her accent! I LOVE it!!! Not only is she gorgeous, she's hella witty and sharp. Never misses a beat. My kind of gal. (Google some of her interviews. Hilarious.) Yeah... I'm so in love with her I had to blog it. :p The Office!!!! I know. I know. I'm like 20 years late, but omg. That show seriously cracks me up. I don't know why it took me so long to get into it. And speaking of getting into... What is up with LOST? That show is way beyond being lost. I can't believe some of the stuff these writers are coming up with.

March and I went to HS together. I wish you could read my mind while I wrote that sentence cuz that's a pretty deep sentence. lol. For reals. The late nights, the friendship, the fun, the late nights, the studying, the hardships. Did I mention late nights? And ofcourse. Our conversations. March says everything in Korean and I say everything in English. Every time I see this girl, or any of my HS friends, I feel 18 again. It's the strangest thing.

This session is one of my fav portrait sessions to date. Maybe because the subject and I have so much history. Having March in front of my lens was a very humbling experience and SO MUCH FUN. We were cracking up left and right.

Thanks March for modeling for me and for the years of friendship. You were and still are amazingly beautiful.

I think this should be on the next cover of a Korean drama. :)

Let's Talk About...

So, this past weekend, it was my 27th birthday. Ugh. 27. Why can't I just be 24 forever? As you all know... I have this thing against aging. Not so much the aging part, but more the number. Ok fine. Also the aging part. I know... i know... it ain't nothin' but a number. But it still bums me out. It's just... being an adult... sometimes... SUCKS. lol. Just being real, folks. Anyways, I realized Richie and I celebrated our birthdays together 4 times. My time flies. I still remember laying out candles for Richie on his 26th birthday. Now he's 29 and i'm 27. ***you can't see, but I just wiped a tear*** But as I was dwelling on the fact that we've celebrated our birthdays way too much, I suddenly felt this sense of peace. Like I finally knew what it felt like to actually grow old together. It goes so much more beyond the number and what we do to celebrate our birthdays. It's like our souls get more and more intertwined as the years go by... I don't know. I can't really explain it. I just remember telling myself, if this is what it feels like to grow old... number wise and together... I'm all for it. Well, not the number... Ok fine. The number too. Ugh.

When Richie and I first stated dating, I made him promise me that we'd take these photo booth pictures EVERY time we saw one. Cuz I really really love photobooths. When I say I want one in my room, I'm not kidding. Doesn't matter if we saw 10 in a row. We HAD to take pictures. Sometimes I forget and walk by a photobooth and he goes, 'don't you want to take some pictures?' and then I get ALL happy cuz he remembered. And there are times where I keep quiet to see if Richie will remember and he doesn't. Ha. But it's pretty crazy seeing all of these together. Most of these are from the movies. There's a booth at the movie theatre we always go to and we see a lot of movies, so it piled up pretty quickly. We have some from the San Diego Zoo, Knotts Berry Farm, Magic Mountain... Man. I want the booth they have at Knotts in my room. I love the paper and quality. The ones that dominate most shopping centers and theatres aren't that great. You can see it fading already. I love looking through them every once in a while. They totally make my day. :) I plan on making wallpaper out of these one day. :) How cool would that be?!

This is our most recent one. My '27' Birthday one. Hence, the 7 fingers. LoL.

And here's the the awesome, slick ass netbook richie got me for my bday. A Vostro V13. Super thin. Super sexy. Thank you love. LoL. Sorry about the fingerprints. :p

And thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday. It can't get any better than celebrating your birthday with the people you love.

Christine & Gerry :: Day After |Orange County|

Christine and I went to high school together but haven't seen each other since! Thank goodness for Facebook! It's crazy how you can reconnect with all these people from your past and keep that relationship going because of Facebook. Anyways, Christine and Gerry have been married for a little over 3 years now and since Christine is looking to sell her wedding dress (size 2, email if interested!), what better way to get closure than having a day after session! :) A month or two before the session, the 3 of us went out (thanks guys for the yummy dinner!) to get reacquainted and talk about life after high school. We all high-five'd each other when we realized all our jobs had nothing to do with our college degrees. Yeah-uh! Give it up for the UC system! LoL. Jk. Anyhoo, when I first met Gerry, I gotta admit. I was a little intimidated because he looked all stern and manly. But after a few laughs, I found Gerry to be just a big teddy bear. Plus he rolls with all my sarcasm and jokes. Can't get any better than that! :) Christine & Gerry are seriously HILARIOUS together. They totally make each other laugh and truly are best friends. It's so awesome when I get to hang out with couples that are fun and chill like you two. :) And even though I haven't seen Christine since HS, it felt so easy getting back into the groove of things. Good times. Can't wait for our double date soon!

And if any of you fab ladies out there are looking to find closure with your wedding dress or just want to put on your dress again cuz it's cool, holla at your girl! ;)

Y'all thought I forgot about London, huh? Yeah... I totally did. lol. With all that's been going on and after posting about Paris, my brain told me I was done with the pics from our Europe trip. :p But no worries! Here they are! :)

Looking back through these images reminded me how COLD it was in London! So much colder than Paris. Yay for so cal weather! If you know me, you know I can't stand being cold. I would rather be hot than cold any day. Not only was London cold, it was sooo gloomy. :( Again, if you know me, you know I like the sun. lol. So London wasn't a fave city of mine in terms of weather. It was beautiful and had tons of stuff as a city, but I think I'd go bananas in the winter if I ever lived there. It got dark real early and and throughout the day, it just felt like night. Richie says I'm being overly dramatic about the darkness, but I promise you. It was really dark. Haha.

I love meeting people in the wedding industry. Especially other photographers. It's really great when we get to share stories, experiences and learn from each other. I first met Serena when I 2nd shot for her and we had such a blast shooting together. The wedding led to lunch... and lunch led to a portrait session. :) I am so happy to call Serena a friend because not only is she a talented photographer, she is such a sweet person. I was totally nervous since this was my first time photographing another photographer, but after a few laughs and our sad attempts to tell jokes, we had lots of fun shooting each other. :)

Paris Through My Eyes

HELLO! can't believe it's february already! january was such a busy month for me! so i apologize for the blog lag. :) i finally had some time to go over the images from our paris & london trip this week. man! i took a lot of pictures! so instead of posting single images, i chose images from each part of our trip and made a collage. the images i chose are my favs and are the ones that start a chain reaction of memories for me. :) i seriously can't wait to go back. i really really really love paris. and thanks baby for taking care of me and being such an awesome map reader. :) can't wait for more trips!

the start of our trip. :) passports, waiting to board and the inside of air france. i gotta say, i was a little disappointed in the movie selections they had. or maybe it was because i saw 90% of the movies that they had. lol. poor richie didn't even sleep in the plane and it was a 10 hour flight! thank goodness for the movies though. 5.5 movies and voila! you're in paris. :)

after we checked into our hotel, we took a night stroll around montmartre, which was a quick walk from our hotel. here are a few images before the sun totally disappeared. luckily, it wasn't raining the first night we were there. also, it wasn't as cold as i thought it would be. the last time richie was in paris (also in january), he said it snowed. and every time he told me the story of how he stood beneath the eiffel tower watching snow fall, i couldn't wait to get to paris! but no snow for me. -_-

Sacré-Cœur Basilica haha. i was wondering if we went inside but then i saw the collage and remembered we did! hah! the power of pictures! you're not allowed to take pictures inside, but the dare devil photographer in me had to click just once. the view from up here was gorgeous. i still couldn't believe we were in paris!

our hotel was conveniently located near the metro, which was awesome!

Musée du Louvre this museum is so gorgeous... and so big. we spent a good portion of our day here. so much to see!

notre dame. that's richie writing a message of peace. :) i thought that was really really sweet. but i didn't get to read what he wrote because he threw it in the glass box before i could. wonder what he wrote...

LOVE this collage. we went up the tower and the view was spectacular. it was raining on and off the whole day but for a few minutes, the sun did peak out. the not so fun part was taking the stairs DOWN the eiffel tower... don't ask why. it was richie's decision. he didn't want to take the cable car. i think he likes it when i get vertigo.

finally at the bottom and so happy i made it.

and here we are at arc de triomphe. man! walking up and down the the narrow, spiral staircase was not my favorite part. but i can't complain. the view was well worth it.

I'm baaaack! :) How are you? Just wanted to drop a post for this week with a few images from our trip to Paris & London to tie you over till the next time I blog. :)

This image is one of the very first ones I took the day we got to Paris and is one of my favorites. I did squeal (just a little) when I saw the Eiffel tower. :p

If you look closely, you can see water drops from the branches.

I just had to post this one because I could eat this everyday. If anyone knows of any good places to get schwermas, PLEASE let me know. Because I could seriously eat this every day.

The last time I used my dad's film camera was when Richie and I took a black & white class at Cerritos College back in 2008. I seriously loved being in the dark room. The instant I started processing my rolls of film, it was as if nothing else existed. So fun. :) Anyhoo... I felt like it was time to bring back my Canon A1 for some personal fun so I got my friend Connie to model for me. Miss E :: Boudoir |Los Angeles|

Wow. I can't believe it's almost mid January. Where does the time go??? I also can't believe Richie and I will be in paris & london in exactly a week!!! It still hasn't hit me that we're leaving the country! So glad I renewed my passport when I went to Korea a few summers ago. I'm kind of wigging out about the weather in Europe right now. Check out a post gizmodo did on London. That's a lot of snow... but, I canNOT wait to play in the snow... freeze our tooshies off and explore.

All right. The real reason for this post! Miss E's boudoir session. I have been itching to post these since I shot them and I must thank Miss E for being so gracious enough for allowing me to post these on my blog. :)

I always knew I'd love shooting boudoir sessions and I am looking forward to shooting more. Having a woman in front of your lens and capturing her vulnerability in a strong and beautiful way is just awesome. I'll be honest. This was my first boudoir shoot... as it was Miss E's... so we were both a little nervous. LoL. But we happily drank a glass or two of champagne before the shoot to help us calm our nerves. :p

Let's talk about...

HI!!! And Happy New Year everyone!!! I know I'm a little behind seeing that it's 01/04/2010. But I like to walk to my own beat. :) Hope you guys enjoyed the holidays this year! :) Can't wait to see all the great things 2010 will bring to us all! :) This year, Richie and I decided to keep it low key and celebrated New Year's at the movies. We watched Up in the Air, set our phones to 12am and whispered 'happy new year' to each other. :) We totally thought we'd have the theatre to ourselves, but there was a lot of people there enjoying the movie with us. If you haven't watched Up in the Air, you HAVE to go watch it! I totally fell in love with Vera Farmiga. She is so beautiful and just a terrific actress. And speaking of movies (please don't hate) but Sherlock was such a BUST! One of the few movies I've watched where I wanted to leave in the middle of it. The only thing bearable about that movie was Robert Downey Jr's good looks and wit. This is fun! I hope you guys enjoy reading my randomness as much as I like writing about them. LoL.

Okay. On to the big news. Richie and I are taking a week off and vacationing in... wait for it... PARIS and LONDON!!! We're leaving in 2 weeks and I am over and beyond excited about our trip. I have never been to Europe so you can imagine my excitement. Richie has backpacked through Europe during his college years so he pretty much has the itinerary set for us. I seriously can't wait to be a tourist in Paris & London. I really hope it's snowing by the time we get there.

So if any of my dear readers have any tips or suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it! :) So far I've gotten a LOT of warnings about pickpocketing. LoL.

We started at the Ayres Hotel in Laguna Woods for the getting ready pictures and first look.

I totally want a huge print of this in my room... so I can see God's beautiful creation every day and not take anything for granted. And the guy on the bottom left makes this picture that much more symbolic.

And just to prove I'm not lying, here's the image zoomed in at 100%. Does anybody know what that sport is called? It's like you're walking on water. Must be an amazing feeling.

And after the beach the ceremony and reception was held at Tivoli Too in Laguna Beach. Love these moments right before the ceremony.

The one thing I really love about being a photographer is that you get to meet a ton of interesting people. And it works out well because not only do I get to meet awesome people, but I get to listen to their stories. Every time I photograph people, I seriously feel like a sociologist doing field research. With every click, I'm trying to figure out my subject and learning new things. And I gotta say, I love every minute of it. What's even better is when my subjects buy me delicious food afterwards and we get to talk about life. :)

Jimmy is one of those people photography brought into my life. His passion for music and pursuing his dreams is what I admire about him the most. And not only is he talented, he truly has a heart of gold. Seriously one of the nicest guys out there. And I can't wait to see what the future holds for him. Fo reals. You can check out his site here but his singles won't be out on itunes until late Feb or March 2010. :) Which is why he needed some headshots of himself! EnjoY! :)

I love this! I noticed Jimmy wouldn't smile for any of the shots even when I asked for one. But I broke him. He gave in. LoL.

Ascher :: Los Angeles |1st birthday|

Hi everybody! Hope ya'll kept warm n cozy this past weekend. :) Remember the gorgeous and adorable Cha family? On Saturday, it was little Ascher's 1st birthday and I was honored to have documented the fiesta that was taking place at Yongsusan, a restaurant in Los Angeles. Imma keep this post short because my fingers feel like they're going to fall off cuz I'm so cold. lol.

You know what's so funny? I had NO idea the flowers (1st row, 2nd pic) were artificial until I got home and started filtering through the images. lol. I'm very impressed! Love all the details! It's like a mini wedding reception. :P

Lawrence and I went to highschool together but recently started bonding over shared interests: photography. :) And as a thank you for being such a good friend, I repaid my debt with what I do best. Pictures! LoL.

And if you are curious of what happened, I'll gladly tell you with embarrassment.

The day I was supposed to sell my car, it disappeared. I had completely forgotten to safelist (it's basically a permit that let's you park overnight) my car the night before. And for those of you that live in communities where you can't have guests park overnight without safelisting, I feel your pain. Cuz seriously. It's annoying and it sucks. Anyhoo, I told myself to safelist and then 5 seconds later, I forgot. So the next morning, I look out the window and my car's gone. I just stare at the empty parking spot for a few seconds and then start dialing. I found my car in Garden Grove and now needed somebody to take me to the lot. Everybody I know is at work and I gotta pick up the car by 5pm if I don't want to be charged another day. Thankfully Lawrence was at a gas station 2 minutes away putting in gas... getting ready to go to school. I made him ditch, so I felt really really bad. I told him I'll buy him something yummy to eat and of all the things I could have bought him, he wanted a McRib sandwich. Hahahahaha. Lawrence cracks me up. So we totally bonded over the whole towing, Carmax and 'are you sure you just want a McRib sandwich' fiasco. Good times. Thanks Lawrence! You totally saved me that day.

Man! Where has the time gone? I can't believe it's December already! More so because of our so-cal weather! I haven't gotten over Thanksgiving yet and it's time for Christmas! I've always wanted to experience a white christmas though. That would be sweet. When I think of Christmas, I think of Home Alone. Hands down, BEST movie to play during the holidays. Any good gift suggestions? I'm not really a shopper and hate hitting the malls at this time. I'm more like tell me what you want and i'll get it for ya. :) horrible, right? but you always get what you want in the end! :) All right. Enough randomness.

Turkey, photo albums and This is it

My sister and Ezra drove down from San Francisco and one of the first things my sister did was go into my mom's room and bring out all the photo albums. The five of us huddled around each other and flipped through each and every album. The photos were of my mom in her early years. From elementary school, to high school and life after marriage. There were periods of silence when we were just soaking in a photo... you could just feel and hear everyone thinking. My mom thinking back to when the photo was taken, my sister and I thinking of what my mom must have been like as a young woman and richie and ezra getting a little glimpse of who my mom was. I honestly had to stop concentrating on the photos cuz i could feel the tears. Looking at our boyfriends genuinely interested in my mom's life and enjoying looking at old photos with us hit the spot. And seeing my mom with that 'thinking of those good memories from long time ago' gleam in her eye and smile made me even more teary. And I couldn't be more thankful for these lovers in my life. Thanksgiving was great. We cooked together, ate together, laughed together and tried to communicate with each other. With my mom's broken english, she tried with Ezra. And seeing Ezra being so patient and really trying to understand my mom... made me love him even more. And Richie always being so sweet to my mom... made me fall in love with him ever more. And my sister being the sweet younger sister she always is... made me love her even more. And seeing my mom basking in the love and attention we were giving her made me love her even more. It also made me miss my dad even more. Because I want him to so badly see the men in our lives. And how happy they make us. It was a beautiful Thanksgiving. And ofcourse we had to end the night with watching Michael Jackson's This is it per my mom's request. lol.

And I ain't gonna lie. Every relationship has it's up and downs. If you don't, then you're lying! *wink*wink* And trust me. Richie and I have had our ups and downs. lol. But babe. I couldn't be more thankful for you. We're just two passionate people that love and fight passionately. That's how we roll. That's how we live. And that's why we work.

Kheng & Rami :: San Diego |wedding|

Hi everyone! I just wanted to drop a post before all the cooking, eating and napping begins! This year, my sister convinced me to make everything from scratch. Yup. You heard me right. S.C.R.A.T.C.H. Does anybody do that anymore? LoL. SO kidding. If you know my sister, she loves cooking for anyone and everyone, so she thought it'd be fun. I usually order our Thanksgiving meal at Gelson's so I never stress out during Thanksgiving. Please don't hate. :) The food is consistent, tastes great and it doesn't take the WHOLE day to cook. It was so funny because towards the end, I got all excited about cooking and spending time in the kitchen together. But my sister said she'll take care of the turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole and brussels sprout with bacon. Um. Ok. I know I'm no Ramsay, but put me in charge of something! So this year, I am in charge of the creamed corn (making from scratch), cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie (which imma buy at the market). Hahahahahaha. My sister says I add way too much butter to everything and won't give me anything too high profile. Who doesn't like butter??? But I bet everyone will love my creamed corn so much that they forget to eat the turkey. and mashed potatoes... and gravy...

I don't know if you know, but I LOVE Thanksgiving. I look forward to this holiday each year. I am so truly thankful for everyone in my life and love getting everyone together. And don't forget the leftovers! So wish us luck with all the cooking! Cuz if i don't get to eat turkey this year, I will be very cranky. :)

And speaking of giving thanks, on 11/14, I had the honor of documenting Kheng & Rami's wedding in San Diego. I actually met Kheng and Rami the day of the wedding since everything was done over email. And I couldn't be more thankful and grateful to end my 2009 wedding season with such awesome clients.

We started at the Rancho Bernardo Inn for the getting ready pictures and first look, migrated to the Bernardo Winery for the ceremony and continued the celebration at the Pearl Chinese Cuisine restaurant. Since it's November and the sun sets real early, Kheng opted for the first look so that we had time for pictures. Now that's what I call perfection.

Ok ladies. Get ready for this. Kheng custom made her dress in China for $300. Isn't it beautiful?

My first car

Just wanted to give a little tribute to my first car. 10 years of memories in this car. A '99 Ford Convertible Mustang. Ahhhh. I LOVE Mustangs. If I could, I would have bought the new GT but being the gas guzzler it is, I don't think that would have been a good idea. :) But I seriously can't wait to get a vintage mustang some day. How awesome would that be?

I find it very comforting that i'm selling the car at 143K miles. It's as if the car is saying goodbye and i love you to me as well. I sound crazy, right? But I swear I have my reasons. Lol.

Here's a few of my favs from Saturday's wedding at the Stagecoach Inn in Thousands Oaks. I got to 2nd shoot for Eddie Bojorquez of Studio512 and had a blast. Thanks Eddie for having me along and being so sweet and generous! Hope you had a safe drive back to San Diego! :)

I found out way later that they had 2 family members with the swine flu still attend the wedding but they were sitting on a grassy hill real far from the venue. So far that they had to use binoculars to watch the wedding. That is what I call family love and support. :) So the picture on my left is one of my favs... it's so sweet how he's waving/saluting to them.

The bride & groom started with a traditional slow dance and then busted out their moves. I was quite impressed!

Animal :: Los Angeles

Richie's sister, Susan, is here on a mini vacay from up north and wanted to take us to Animal for a late birthday celebration for Richie. Susan is a major foodie so we were excited to try the place out. And when I say foodie, I don't just mean any foodie. Susan used to work side by side with Suzanne Tracht, creator of JAR (which you should also check out!) in Los Angeles and contestant on Bravo's Top Chef Masters. So when it comes to food, Susan definitely knows her stuff! :)

Richie and I are so easy to please. We can be satisfied with just a chesseburger and fries so it was nice to try a new restaurant and step outside our boundaries.

MmmM. I do want to go back to try the balsamic pork ribs and the ribeye for two.

We started with chicken liver toasts.

Moved on to pig ear, chili, lime and fried egg.

I wish I had taken more photos, but I completely forgot because the food kept coming out and conversations were going on. But I will tell you all the other stuff we ordered. :)

pork belly, kimchi, peanuts, chili soy, scallion
poutine, oxtail gravy, cheddar
flat iron, artichoke hash, truffle parmesan fondue

I was afraid I wasn't going to remember the dishes' names, but you can find the menu on their site. Check it out so you'll have an idea of what you want to order if you decide to eat at the restaurant. :) And I wish I could give an objective food review, but anything that tastes delicious is good in my book! Except for the chicken liver. I couldn't get myself to eat more than one bite. The toast was excellent though. The pork belly very tasty! The kimchi is very very light though. Don't expect strong, spicy kimchi. The poutine with oxtail and cheddar actually surprised me. I enjoyed it very much. I could see the dish being a little heavy for some though. And ofcourse the flat iron. That gets all the stars from me.

And if there are any recommendations, I would love to know. :)

You know what else gets all the stars from me? The Mexi-coke I had. Pure cane sugar and none of that high-fructose corn syrup. Still bad but soooo good.

Also, if you're in the bay area and near the Mission District, make sure to stop by your local market Bi-Rite. Susan works in the catering department and just going through their site and reading about the company makes we wish a Bi-Rite was near me. You have to read their Philosophy page. Bi-Rite is all about sustainable, local, organic and slow food (international movement that supports alternatives to fast food). And you know Richie and I are in desperate need of all of that. LoL.

Brain Age

Every once in a while, I'll pull out the DS and play Brain Age. I LOVE that game! Especially everything math related! LoL.

And every so often, the game will have you draw some pictures out of memory and compare the drawings to other players of the game. The comparing doesn't happen every time so when it does, I love looking at the other person's drawing.

I am BEYOND thrilled to introduce to you my friend and fellow colleague Nancy Park of So Happi Together. She just launched her own event design & coordination business this year and I couldn't be more excited for her! Ladies, if you haven't booked a wedding coordinator yet, you need to check this girl out. I'm serious! I met Nancy back when she was in the midst of her own wedding planning and I can tell you from personal experience that this girl can rock a wedding like no other. So when she asked me to take her headshots for her website and blog, I felt so happi and honored!

Lifestyle family session :: The Yun Family

When Jaimie contacted me and said "it's time!", I got very excited. Jaimie had mentioned months ago that she was interested in a family session but wanted to wait. And right when October hit, she emailed me. It was time. October 2009 marked the one year anniversary of when beautiful Natalee became part of the Yun family.

I asked Jaimie if she would be willing to write a few words about the family's journey with the adoption and this is what she wrote:

"It's been one year since Natalee became our daughter. After 5 long years of praying and 2 long years of waiting after submitting our adoption application, we finally brought Natalee home one year ago. When she first arrived, she constantly cried for her foster mom and kept looking at the door at the slightest of noises hoping that a familiar face would come in and take her back to the place she thought was home. Slowly, and literally in baby steps, she began to trust us, bond with us, depend on us and love us.

It's hard to imagine what life was like before she arrived. Nathan did not have a little sis to be annoyed by, followed by and loved by; James and I did not have a baby girl to adore. Nathan stepped up to be a protective and caring older brother right away without missing a beat. Natalee's adjustment was miraculously smooth and easy, as though she was simply taking her place entitled to her. People are constantly amazed by the fact that Natalee was adopted because she looks so much like me. These are clear testaments to the fact that Natalee was simply meant to be a part of our family from the start. It was God's will to complete our family with the gift of Natalee, our precious daughter, and we could not be more blessed than this."

This session truly holds a special place in my heart. Every once in a while, I'll look through my baby pictures and try to soak in every detail. From the toys I played with, the clothes I wore, the way my hair was styled or the furniture in the background. I don't remember taking the picture, but as an adult, the images help me imagine what my childhood was like. And I truly truly feel honored to know that I was able to give Natalee pictures that document a little portion of her own childhood.

It was so hard narrowing down my favorites for this post. There were just so many I wanted to show you, but here are the ones that made the cut.

Thank you, Jaimie and James, for inviting me into your home and allowing me to document your beautiful family. And like you said, I can't wait to see your walls covered with pictures of Natalee everywhere. :)

I had the pleasure of shooting a tea ceremony for Rani Lu on 10/23. If you're a follower of my blog, you know I love culture and seeing families become one. :) Here are a few of my favorites from the day. Enjoy!

Over the weekend, I had a very fun time shooting a sister/senior session. We scratched our initial location because Helen suggested we visit our old stomping grounds at SHHS. Ok. Let me just clarify that Aeri did not want to shoot at the school. Her exact words were "it's too early for me." Meaning it's not cool to go back. Anyways, Helen and I were reminiscing about the cafeteria food, the senior tree in the quad and thought we were cool for wanting to shoot at the school. Can you tell it's been awhile since we graduated? :) So I promised Aeri after a couple of shots, we would go to a different location. Turned out, we had too much fun and ended up doing the majority of the session at the school. Aeri didn't seem to mind as much once we got the laughs rolling. :)

I love Aeri's facial expression on the left! She's like 'do you THINK you're on ANTM?'

I know this is totally random, but one thing I love about winter is that I get to wear my favorite perfume. I absolutely LOVE the smell of Burberry. I discovered the perfume a few years back when I was looking for Burberry Weekend. I bought Burberry on accident and hated the smell. I know hate is a strong word, but I hated it. Fast forward a few months and I suddenly fell in love with the fragrance. I don't know when or how exactly it happened, but it was all I wore. It's very warm, musky and vanilla-y (completely opposite of what I like) and it reminds me of fall and winter. MmmMMm.

All right. On to the real reason for the post. Here's a sneak peek at a sister/senior session I did over the weekend. Sisters are the best, aren't they? :)

RIchie's Birthday BBQ Bash

On Sunday, we celebrated Richie's birthday by having a yummy BBQ at Ralph B. Clark Park in Fullerton. We had burgers, hot dogs, chips, beer & soda! The simple yet good stuff! This park is HUGE and beautiful. I really do have to take advantage of the park more often.

Thank you again to everyone that came out! We had such a blast bbq'ing, eating, laughing, playing football and messing around with the 'photobooth' I had set up.

And much love and thanks to Nancy at So Happi Together for helping me plan! What would I have done without you! To all future brides, you need to check her out. Her ideas and gift for planning events is out of this world.

Here are my favorite 'photobooth' images that I LOVE. At first, I imagined the fabric to cover the whole frame, but realized it would be more fun and casual to have the booth be less than perfect. And it worked out great! I love the homemade vibe all the images have. Very fun & friendly. Don't you just love the pop of red! :)

Here are my fav images from the wedding this past Saturday I 2nd shot. I seriously had so fun shooting them. I started the day capturing the guys getting ready at the Langham in Pasadena and then headed to Castle Green for the ceremony & reception.

This wedding was a little bit different than usual. The bride and groom wanted to see each other before the ceremony for pictures, but didn't have us set up the first look for them. Can you just tell how laid back the couple was? All laughs. Perfection.

Castle Green is an awesome venue for pictures. Not only is it a venue, but you can live there as well!

For the past month, Richie has been whispering 'ps3 slim' every chance he got. We'll be walking and he whispers it. We'll be eating and he whispers it. Ha Ha. Um. Ok. I got the hint. LoL. But I totally played it off and said I wasn't going to get him another game console. Blu-ray? Who needs Blu-ray when there's HD DVD! But seriously, Richie isn't the type of guy to ask for ANYTHING. It doesn't matter if it's his birthday, Christmas or our anniversary. He's happy with whatever I get him. So I knew he really wanted the Ps3 slim.

For Better, For Worse

I love to cuddle. But every so often as I'm sitting there with Richie next to me, I can't help but think of my mom. My mom lost her partner five years ago. A partner she slept with, cuddled with, joked with, laughed with, ate with, fought with and cried with. She lost a husband and a friend. A husband with Leukemia and 2 young children? All by herself? She's never said it, but I'm sure there were days where she wanted to give up. That's just being human. Between hospital visits, a pre-schooler, a kindergartener and a move to San Francisco (for better cancer treatment) life wasn't all peaches n cream. And then 20 years later, a liver tumor lurks it's ugly-ass head and disrupts our lives yet once again. My mom is the epitome of for better, for worse. Through all the cancers, all the financial hardships and emotional turmoil, she made it through as a wife. As a partner. And for that, she's a frakking hero. When I think about vows and what they mean, all I have to do is look at my mom. It really is a beautiful and intimate commitment you're making to each other. A commitment that isn't taken so lightly. These are just the thoughts in my head these days... and it's easier for me to write than talk about it. Thanks for listening. :)

On 9/19, I got to 2nd shoot a wedding that took place at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu. It was a hot, beautiful day that turned into a warm, lovely night. I just love outdoor receptions during summer nights. Perfect weather.

Cutie Pie Molly

For those of you who don't know Nancy, Molly is her baby. I think she might love Molly a little bit more than her new husband. LoL. But isn't she such a cutie? I love dogs, but Molly is seriously the sweetest little thing. Rarely barks, loves to cuddle and is so smart. I love the fact that she only potties outside on the grass. She's a total princess, but it's okay. I give her the tough love when I see her to balance it out.

A week or so ago, Molly had a little bump that was next to her spine checked out. The vet seems to think everything will be fine, so we're all happy for that. So when Nancy asked me to watch Molly for a few hours, I grabbed my camera and took a few images as a surprise for Nancy.

Surprise! LoL.

Awwwww. She's so cute. I just want to squeeze her all over.

Look how cute she is. I didn't even pose her. That's how chill Molly is. She'll just find a little nook for herself and plop down.

And each time he heard footsteps, he would get all happy and then sulk when it wasn't me turning the corner. What a cutie.

LOL. This picture cracks me up. I was sooooooooo pissed when my mom took him to a random groomer and told the lady to cut it all off. It was so sad and ugly, I cried. LoL. Dramatic, I know. But he was my little baby. :) Poor Toby. He probably didn't even recognize himself in the mirror.

Back in August, I had the pleasure of 2nd shooting for Janel Conlan of Focus Photography. I have to say, Janel is so genuine and very sweet and I loved every minute of shooting with her. ;) Thanks Janel for letting me tag along!

We arrived at the bride's house for the getting ready pictures, headed to the church for the ceremony and came back for their backyard reception. And I absolutely loved how the reception turned out. Santa Monica Wedding Photography

I got back from Vegas and I wish I could say Richie won $10,000 and a seat to WSOP. LoL. But it was fun watching him play. To those interested, top 2 players from each table on Thursday would play all day on Saturday for the prizes. Anyhoo, Richie was doing well. Including him, there were 4 people remaining at his table. But Richie lost with a pair of queens. The other guy went all in with a pair of 9's, Richie called and then another 9 comes up on the turn. Can you believe that? But that's poker for ya. They allowed re-buys, but we just decided to have our own fun in Vegas. Highlight of our trip: I made $20 bucks into $140 at a slot machine! WooHoo! :)

On 9/6, I had the pleasure of 2nd shooting an Egyptian wedding. We started at the Bride's house in LA before heading over to St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church for the ceremony and then to Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica for the lovely reception.

Poker Tournament in Vegas!

I'm heading off to Vegas tomorrow and won't be back until Saturday! Richie is playing in a poker tournament so we need some positive mojoo sent our way. :) Wish us luck!

Peugeot, Labor Day & Summer's End

My sister is down for a visit and as you all know, she claims she doesn't like taking pictures. LoL. But she did ask me to take pictures of her and her bike so I happily agreed. My sister is very fond of her Peugeot bike so she wanted to make sure she had some pictures of her riding it. Ain't she a cutie? I think my nagging is finally working. LoL. I always tell her how important it is to have pictures that chronicle her life... even if it's a picture of her and her favorite bike. I actually think pictures like these are really special. I know years from now, the photos will bring back all the good times and memories she's had with her bike. And that to me is priceless.

Enjoy the pictures and have a great Labor Day Weekend. I'm finally going camping tomorrow. I really don't remember the last time I went so I'm really looking forward to it. :)

Yes. I love summer. Actually, the time right before summer is my favorite. The smell of wet grass at night. The smell and touch of hot cement. Swimming. BBQ's. Late sunsets. Oh how I will miss the long days. And I especially love summer nights. The weather is just perfect... warm enough to just wear a t-shirt at any time of day.

Long Beach Wedding Photography part 1

A few weeks back, I was fortunate enough to 2nd shoot a very special wedding. I'm very excited about this post because it was my first time experiencing a full on Indian wedding. It was a 2 day event with lots of laughs, love and my favorite CULTURE! :) I loved that the wedding was completely different from what I'm used to. It was a traditional Indian wedding so there was no white dress, no church, no suit/tux but lots of bright colors, music, dancing and and a very elaborate ceremony. Oh! And ofcourse the clothes~!

Once I got to the Long Beach Hilton, I took care of the groom getting ready. I had way too much fun with these guys. Everyone was just so sweet and nice. And the chillest guys ever! MmmmMMMM. IN-N-OUT.

How can you not love the differences in people? But it is pretty funny when they have no idea how to wear traditional Indian clothes.

MaryAnne & Lester :: San Francisco |engaged|

When I first read Maryanne's email, I knew we were going to get along. She was so honest and sweet. I seriously couldn't wait to meet her and Lester. Initially, our planned session fell through but we rescheduled and started our day at the BART station. I truly had such a great time with them. It felt as if we were all long time friends jut hanging out. Maryanne offered to take me around the next time I'm up again so can't wait to hang out! :) And to top off the night, Maryanne & Lester were kind enough to buy me dinner at Espetus, an all you can eat Brazilian BBQ restaurant. I gotta say. It was delicious! Thank you guys for all the laughs, conversation and dinner!

San Francisco = bikes. :) Love it.

This was the first shot I took. Literally a second later, people were going up and down the escalators. I was real lucky to get a few seconds of emptiness.

Before we hopped on, I had to get a blurred, motion shot of the subway.

Girl knows how to work it.

We got off and just started wandering around. The place below is a food joint Maryanne & Lester stop by frequently after work. I love capturing couples in "their" locations. It gives you a glimpse into their lives and nothing is more personal or special than having a couple take you to their spots.

Maryanne told me how she's worried Lester won't smile with his teeth on the day of the wedding. But I think he'll do just fine.

One last shot on the BART. I seriously could have shot at the station all day.

We got off at Mission and decided to walk around. But we didn't even get past a block because we had too much fun at the one intersection in front of my sister's loft. Here's a wall I had been eye-ing since I got to San Francisco.

By the time we wrapped up, it was getting dark real fast. We shot for more than 2 hours but it didn't even feel like it because we were having so much fun. I love when that happens. And I give major props to Lester. Usually the guys are done after an hour or so, but Lester was the sweetest and most patient guy ever. He'll do anything for Maryanne.

Michelle :: San Francisco |portrait|

During my stay in San Francisco, I had a mini session with one of my sister's friend. Love that she's so spunky and quirky.

When we shot this session, it was the day of their celebration party. Michelle's boyfriend and his partner are the creators of Epic Pet Wars. The game was approved by Apple a while back so you can download the game to your Iphone if you haven't done so already. And Michelle was the designer of all the characters for the game. How cool is that? So the party was basically a celebration of all their hard work and because they had successfully sold their company. Isn't that amazing? Such an awesome achievement at such a young age. Congrats guys!

Lisa & Sihong :: San Francisco |engaged|

Lisa & Sihong met during undergrad at Stanford and have been together for 5.5 years. After a few email exchanges, I met this sweet couple at The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. I expected the weather to be consistent, but ofcourse the day turned out to be extremely overcast and cold with a few sprinkles here and there.

AND! After the session, I got completely lost. I had a feeling I was going the wrong way, but the street I was on had small poles dividing the street into 2 lanes, so I couldn't even make a U-turn. So I crossed the Golden Gate Bridge with NO cash in my wallet. It doesn't cost money to leave the city, but you need $6 to get back. So I went to Sausalito, found an ATM machine, pulled out some cash, snapped a few pictures of the area before it got completely dark and raced back to my sister's house. Despite all that, it really doesn't matter because I had a great time shooting Lisa & Sihong. And I finally got to see the bridge in all it's glory even though the fog was covering 99.9% percent of it. On to the pictures!

I was so happy the swan was somewhat still so I could grab a quick shot of it.

I watched District 9 over the week and was very pleasantly surprised. With all the crap movies out there, it was such a breath of fresh air. I really really wanted to watch The Hurt Locker, but majority won. At first, I didn't really understand how a movie about aliens in Africa would be a worth watching. But I totally loved it. I also want to watch G.I. Joe just to support Lee Byung Hun. :) But have been told to save my money. Any thoughts?

I know my mom is a little sad that her youngest daughter moved 500 miles away. She calls my sister practically every day and asks if she ate breakfast, lunch and dinner. Is there anything wrong? Are you okay? You know. Typical mom stuff.

But today, I think I put my mom at ease. LoL. I just had to post our conversation my mom and I had over lunch today. The whole conversation was basically in Korean, but here's the translated version:

Mom: How's Nancy doing up there?
Me: She's good, mom. Don't worry.
Mom: What does she eat up there?
Me: A lot of American food. There's not a lot of good Korean spots up north. She cooks a lot too.
Mom: Oh.
Me: Mom. Don't worry. She lives like a princess.
Mom: *her eyes get big and cocks her head to the side* PRINCESS?? Reeaaallly?? A princess like me?
Me: *I laugh and just stare at my mom* Yes, mom. A princess like you. Don't worry. Ezra is exactly like Richie but White.
Mom: just stays quiet.

My mom cracks me up.

And here's what I bought for us after lunch. A couple of pinkberrys for a couple of princesses. (I'm only a princess by association. :O) )

Carrie & Nick :: San Francisco |engaged|

They've been together for 6 1/2 years. He's an ER doctor. She's an orthodontist. I met Carrie & Nick while I was in San Francisco for an engagement session I had posted about on weddingbee. We started the day at Baker Beach (which by the way is a nude beach :O) and then ended the session at the Golden Gate Park. It actually worked out because I was meeting my sister and friend at the California Academy of Sciences for their NightLife event. All righty. On to the pictures. :)

Baker beach. It was such a gorgeous day. We didn't spend too much time at the beach though. I just wanted a few images with the bridge.

Then off to the Golden Gate Park to look for some cool spots. It was my first time at the park and apparently it's bigger than Central Park in NY. How cool is that?

Loving my Sis & San Francisco

San Francisco is a wonderful city. The last time I visited, I blogged that I couldn't live there (it's too cold!). HOWEVER! I've changed my mind. :) I had the chance to visit and live life as a local for 2 weeks. The food, the walking, the weather. It's different from so cal, but good different. I love the people! I love how everybody is so green... and how it influences me. And I really thought going to the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf was a daily routine for the locals. But no. I was wrong. Only tourists go there... or so my sister says. But the next time I go, I am definitely going to do all things touristy related.

Anyhoo. Iwant to say THANK YOU to my sister and Ezra for opening up their home to me. Until next time! :)

I'm not a cat person. At all. But Ezra had 2 beautiful cats I got really attached to. They were the sweetest cats ever. Not the brightest. But very sweet. :)

Tilt N Shift Workshop

Last month, I attended a Tilt N Shift workshop on lighting hosted by Doug McNamee & Henry Wang. I had a really fun time getting to know everyone and shooting. And I loved that the workshop was very wallet friendly. Can't wait to attend more. Also, I think it's so awesome that Doug and Henry are so different as photographers and yet they mesh so well together as partners. Thanks to Doug and Henry for making it so fun and for being very open. I learned a a lot from you guys!

I'm Back! & Client Album

HI everyone! Just got back from my loooong trip to San Francisco. I had such a good time. Imma keep things short for now. I just wanted to drop in and say hi and show you the album that was waiting for me when I got back! I seriously LOOOVE when I come home to yummy mail.

But before you scroll down, I just wanted to share how I got to find out about Renaissance Albums. When Richie and I attended WPPI '09, we spent a fair amount of time at the tables. :) We were playing 3-card poker when this guy sat down & joined the game. I noticed he had a WPPI tag on him so I asked if he was a fellow photographer. Turned out he was with an album company and told us to check them out when we had time. We played 3-card poker, had fun, got his business card and booth #. The next day, I visited the booth and was blown away by the selection and quality of the albums. It was a done deal. I was going to use them as my albums. Even Richie couldn't stop touching them. lol. I seriously thank the stars for Stan. :) If we hadn't sat at that 3-card poker table, I probably wouldn't have found out about them. And to top it off, Stan has been sooooo patient with me. Thanks Stan! I can't wait to order more.
